I used to think I wanted to be in front of the camera. Then I got pregnant. Being behind the camera is MUCH more rewarding and doesn't make me burst into tears nearly as much. No one ever sees how many chins the photographer has. (Bonus.) I gave birth to my beautiful son, Noah, in February and he has already shown me what a roller coaster motherhood is. I know that with the hectic life I currently lead (husband in the Army, living out in Colorado, & being someone's personal pacifier), this photography thing will take some time. Bear with me. :)

Caleigh | 12.10.11

Not only is Caleigh one of the most gorgeous human beings I've ever seen.. but she's also NICE. Like, super nice. So nice that it makes you wonder your own scale of attractiveness because you aren't as nice as she is. So when I decided to give photography a whirl, I knew I had to shoot with her.

Caleigh and I went to Cascade Park because, let's face it, everybody goes there to take pictures. The cold was almost unbearable and the wind didn't make it any better. I'm pretty sure it took a good three hours for my fingers to thaw afterwards. She was a trooper though and didn't whine nearly as much as I did.

Besides being mildly stalked by a homeless man and almost face-planting it into piles of mud, we had a GREAT time. I'm so excited because I get to shoot with Caleigh again soon. We'll be doing a session with her sister, Chloe, who is also super gorgeous and super nice. Don't these girls know that they're supposed to be MEAN in order for the rest of us to feel better about ourselves?!

Here are a couple of my favorite shots from my shoot with Caleigh. If you want to see the rest of the album, check out www.facebook.com/alynnephotography and be on the lookout for Caleigh & Chloe's sister shoot!

06/25/2012 UPDATE: I had a WONDERFUL photoshoot with Caleigh and her two sisters, Chloe and Chelsea on June 21st, 2012. Go find it in the archive if you haven't seen the pictures!
